Roshan Shrestha

I grew up between the classrooms of Budhanilkantha and St. Xavier’s: places that shaped my education, and my sense of self. Though I trained as a chemical engineer, my path led me into law, where I’ve spent the last 17 years in Chicago navigating intellectual property.

Even after all these years away, Nepal isn’t just a distant memory. It lives in me, quite persistently. Nepal remains the constant undercurrent beneath it all. The life I’ve built abroad is a privilege, but it’s also a responsibility and a call to contribute something meaningful to the place that made me.

That’s why Pukar’s vision speaks to me. Mission Aasha is not  just a sentiment or duty but a real, tangible way to connect, support, and build a future for Nepal. Through them, giving back becomes a purposeful collaboration I heartily endorse with a mix of gratitude and inspiration.

And to my fellow St. Xavier’s alumni: Live for God. (Help) Lead for Nepal, through Mission Aasha.
