Niraj Shrestha, a scientist and pharmaceutical industry leader with over two decades of experience abroad, was drawn to Mission Aasha by the opportunity to give back to his roots in a meaningful way. For him, contributing to an initiative that creates real, visible change especially for rural Nepalese is both fulfilling and necessary. He believes strongly in the power of the Nepali diaspora,not just as donors or observers, but as active contributors to help accelerate progress. Niraj Shrestha is a professional scientist with a strong background in oncology. His career has evolved over time and he has been involved in management roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Having lived abroad for the past 24 years, his journey has been shaped by a deep respect for great leaders and a lasting passion for science that continue to guide both his professional work and personal growth.
What drew Niraj to Mission Aasha was the chance to give back to the country where he was born, raised, and received his early training. For him, it’s deeply fulfilling to be part of an initiative that creates real, tangible impact on the ground. He finds it incredibly meaningful to contribute to something that makes a real difference and he can do that through Mission Aasha alongside like-minded individuals like him.
He believes strongly in the power of the Nepali diaspora,not just as donors or observers, but as active contributors bringing in global expertise, resources, and diverse perspectives. Niraj sees Mission Aasha as a platform where the experiences and knowledge gained abroad can be used in a sustainable and impactful way to uplift communities back home.
He wants to portray the message that Mission Aasha is a result driven initiative and one can see their effort making an actual difference through this.
