Archana Joshee
Archana Joshi, a finance professional based in New York City, believes that staying connected to Nepal from abroad is not just a desire, but a responsibility. Having known Pukar Malla since their Budhanilkantha School days, she has been inspired by his relentless dedication to youth empowerment through Mission Aasha. For Archana, the campaign represents a powerful way for the diaspora to give back, one grounded in effectiveness, accountability, and lasting impact.
Archana Joshi came to the United States for her education and, like many in the diaspora, stayed on after completing her studies. Now based in New York City and working in the finance sector, she remains deeply connected to her roots in Nepal, not just emotionally, but through purpose-driven action.
Her connection to Pukar Malla, the founder of Daayitwa, goes back to their school days at Budhanilkantha School, and later during their college years at Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore. Over the years, she has watched his journey with admiration, particularly his unwavering commitment to Nepal’s youth through the Mission Aasha campaign.
To Archana, Mission Aasha offers something rare and essential: it’s a way for diaspora members to contribute meaningfully, with transparency, accountability, and measurable impact. In a world where many feel disconnected from their homeland, this movement offers a clear, trustworthy path to staying engaged.
Inspired by Pukar’s leadership and the values the campaign stands for, Archana is proud to support Mission Aasha and encourages others in the global Nepali community to do the same.
