REAP GALKOT OUTSTANDING 40 ENTREPRENEURS
The Outstanding 40 Announcement event was held on March 18, 2021, at Galkot Municipality, Baglung District. The attendees were elected officials of different wards, representatives of different municipality offices, representatives of different banking and finance sectors, representatives of Galkot Cooperative, journalists, social campaigners, and students were present at the event.
Over 80 attendees, including 40 women entrepreneurs, Mr. Bharat Sharma (Mayor, Galkot), Ms. Renuka Kaucha (Deputy Mayor, Galkot), Mr. Hari Prasad Sharma (Chief Administrative Officer, Galkot Municipality), Mr. Kamal Thapa (Representative, Daayitwa), elected officials of different wards, representatives of different municipality offices, representatives of different banking and finance sectors, representatives of Galkot Cooperative, journalists, social campaigners, and students were present at the event.
Mr. Hari Prasad Sharma (Chief Administrative Officer,) shared his experience of working in small and cottage industries departments and highlighted the effectiveness of such programs for uplifting entrepreneurs in rural municipalities. He also shared how this program is distinct from vocational training programs and urged women entrepreneurs to participate in this program for their enterprise development.
Ms. Renuka Kaucha (Deputy Mayor) shared her joy and excitement seeing the faces of 40 women entrepreneurs. She also explained the objective of launching the program in Galkot and the expectations from this program. She highlighted the role of women entrepreneurs in entrepreneurial Galkot and assured commitments to support them in each step for the development of enterprises run by women.
In his welcome note, Mr. Bharat Sharma (Mayor) heartily welcomed 40 women entrepreneurs and shared that Galkot Municipality and elected officials are dedicated to the development of entrepreneurship in Galkot. He focused on the outstanding issues of foreign migration for employment and how programs like women entrepreneurship are promoting both entrepreneurial mindset and employment within the country.
