Nepal Rising and Daayitwa’s Work in Nuwakot

On 7th August, two representatives from Daayitwa (Mr. Aman Shrestha) and Nepal Rising (NR) (Parimal Ariyal) visited Neel Saraswati Lower Secondary School in Gorshyang, Nuwakot. The school is under construction with partial financial support from NR and in collaboration with VolNepal. The visit was to primarily monitor the construction process and to collect data for community participation in the school reconstruction process.

Daayitwa’s and Nepal Rising’s representatives met with the community members, teachers at the school in Nuwakot to discuss possible ways for collaboration.

Both the representatives met with the school administration, local community, and school reconstruction committee to understand the overall situation of the school reconstruction process. While six rooms of the construction are almost complete, the remaining three rooms will now be constructed with community support. Additionally, international volunteers from various countries also supported the reconstruction process. VolNepal facilitated the process to arranging international volunteers. These volunteers live with the community while they support in the reconstruction process.

Findings from the visits will soon be shared.
