This year 10 fellows were selected through a rigorous selection process through a competitive pool of applicants. The fellows were chosen based on their technical capability, their leadership growth potential and a motivation to work with the governance system.

The 10 fellows are working with five public agencies (Ministry of Agricultural Development, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, National Reconstruction Authority, and National Planning Commission) and one parliamentary committee (Parliamentary Committee for Agriculture and Water Resource).

Daayitwa has also launched the Daayitwa Research Mentorship Program where three PhDs will be providing guidance for the fellows for their research process. This year, we are delighted to share that Dr. Bharat Bhatta (PhD in Applied Economics Molde University College, Norway), Dr. Biswo Poudel (PhD in Economics, University of California, Berkeley) and Dr. Nisha Onta (PhD in Gender and Development studies , Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand) are our Daaytiwa Research Mentors.
