TAPENDRA CHAND, in his late twenties is an energy expert who specialized in both conventional and non-conventional forms of energy. He graduated in Masters in Energy System from Aachen University, Germany. Tapendra was recognized by the Government of Nepal as the first group to obtain Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering and was top four students in his faculty at Thapathali Campus. During his final year in Bachelor degree, he worked on explicitly “Construction, Improvement and Testing of Cooking Stove-Top-Lit updraft Gasifier” under the supervision of Dr. Ramesh Man Singh of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).
Accordingly, Tapendra worked as an Intern at Nepal Biogas Promotion Association where he prepared business plan for biogas entrepreneurs, conducted business management training and also participated in an international conference on biogas namely “How to Improve and Scale-up Practices?” In addition, he did entrepreneurship development training implemented by Industrial Enterprise development institute (IEDI) that was jointly organized by Alternative Energy Promotion Center (AEPC) and Bio gas Sector Partnership (BSP) Nepal.
